1) Note the orange ‘Welcome –‘scout’--“ button in the upper right corner reminds you of your present login identity. It also functions as a ‘Home’ button, which will take you back to the homepage for that user. When searching the Locations Library, the Home button is no longer available, so use the Welcome button to return to the Project Room homepage.
2) Only one login per browser is permitted, so you cannot be signed into both your VisionScout and VisionProject sites simultaneously using two open tabs or windows on a single browser. You can however work around this problem by logging in with a second browser. For example, you can access VisionScout in Firefox while simultaneously organizing your Project Room in Safari.
3) Clients and Project Room Managers who are given logins will be automatically directed to either the Project Room homepage or the Client room upon login, depending on their status. Managers have some limited Admin access, while Clients will not. Existing VisionNet logins are not transferable, so you must create new user logins for members of your production team who will be using the Project Room.
4) To be searchable in the database, a Location File must have a general category and useful keywords. Click on the small folder icon next to ‘Category’ to open a cascading list of descriptive categories. Choose from the dropdown submenus to select an appropriate general descriptor for your Location File.
5) Be sure to fill in all required fields marked by an orange asterisk (*). When complete, click “Submit”. On the following page; you will see the “Upload new project room media” fields. Click the “Browse” button to select a .zip file or series of JPEGs from your computer or camera to upload.
6) For faster uploading, if you have multiple images to submit, it is best to compress the entire folder into a single .zip file using the Archive function in Macintosh, or WinZip for Windows. This function is usually available in both systems by control clicking (Apple) or right clicking (Windows) on a folder and selecting “Archive to…” or “Add to Archive”. A popup menu will appear giving you the Archive option. Be sure to select the Zip format. This will create a single file containing all your images. As many as ten zip files can be uploaded at once to each Location Photo File, to a maximum total size of 50mb.
7) File types also limit these folders. JPG and PNG image files and QuickTime MOV files are accepted by these folders. Other media types can be uploaded directly into the “Production Files” area.

Project Rooms are password-protected websites where you can upload photos and a wide variety of information needed by the different departments of your production team such as Locations, Art Department, Casting and Wardrobe.
Instead of sending e-mails loaded up with attachments to share this information with your team, a Project Room gives you a single, secure workspace where you can store all that information in a single place and then give the right people access to view and comment upon that information over the web.
Project Rooms are rented by the month and may be renewed indefinitely.
